The two little teeth she has been starting to get since 5 mos. and 1 week are so adorable. I can’t help but post another entry about them. Her smiles have gotten very cute and less gummy.

Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better
So, a few posts ago we showed Mara’s tendency with a water bottle to put it in her mouth as with just about any item you give to her these days. Mom and I have been trying to get her to grab for her formula bottle in the same way rather than us just putting it directly to her mouth when we feed her. This week she looked like she was steady enough to hold it on her own. Now I don’t think she really gets what she is doing yet. She has a tendency to just lower her hands and let it go randomly. But she is close. Here is a picture of her after holding the bottle after walking all the way from the kitchen to the office to get the camera the other morning.
Look at me…

Two Little Teeth
So here’s Mara’s first two teeth. No more purely gummy smiles. Still what can be cuter than two little bottom teeth that you see now when she smiles?
Amazingly she hasn’t really been that cranky while cutting them either. She has her moments but it’s not constant.
Currently she adores chewing on the toothbrush that came in her infant care kit. She’s quite adept at holding it herself. It looks kind of funny like she’s really brushing her teeth!

Pet The Doggie
This past Sunday the 31st of July we visited Nana’s house along with Jen, Conan and their I.G. Striker. Mara seems very interested in all the movements of Striker and here she is pictured giving him a “gentle” petting. I’m sure this will change at some point but for now she is gentle with Striker. We all ate Sunday dinner together which was very fun. I noticed that my mom (Nana) and Jen both have blue eyes like Mara. Now it occurs to me, why in the world was I wondering where her blue eyes came from….it was rather obvious that day.
